About this quiz

  • The questions are the 20 extraversion items of the 100-item IPIP Big-Five factor markers (Goldberg, 1992), which are in the public domain. Questions 1 to 10 are the same as the extraversion questions in our Big Five personality test.
  • The five levels are score ranges set around a midpoint of 60 (20–35, 36–51, 52–68, 69–84, 85–100). They are not based on a comparison with other people. Neither introversion nor extroversion is better.
  • This test is for self-reflection and entertainment. It is not a psychological assessment.

Scoring

  • Each of the 20 questions scores 1 to 5, and the 10 reverse-keyed questions are scored in reverse. The total is from 20 to 100. A higher score means more extroverted, a lower score more introverted, and 60 is the middle.
